SF Tech Quote of the Week

“At the broad level, we’ve helped more than 140,000 people cut 7,500,000 drinks from their lives over the course of the last couple of years of operating. So we’ve already had a really major impact in terms of helping people understand where they are and then actually reduce their baseline consumption in a meaningful way.” — Nick Allen, CEO and co-founder of Sunnyside

Sunnyside was featured in the Built In Future 5 series. Alcoholism is a condition that many across the U.S. are currently seeking treatment for; however, not all heavy drinkers looking to make lifestyle changes have alcohol use disorder. Sunnyside developed a wellness app that helps members reduce their drinking and improve their overall health. Its platform relies on text-based communication with coaches and accountability tracking.
