Chef Robotics recently announced a $43.1 million Series A funding round. The company develops AI-enabled robots to help food companies increase their production volume. Its latest capital raise, spearheaded by Avataar Venture Partners, brings Chef Robotics’s total capital raised to approximately $65.6 million.

The company’s robotics solutions are designed to mimic human flexibility. Chef Robotics has deployed its technology in high-mix food production and manufacturing environments to help partially automate food operations. Since their first deployments, the company’s robots have produced more than 44 million servings.

With the help of its Series A round, Chef Robotics will accelerate the development of ChefOS, the physical AI model it uses to train its robots. It will also grow its go-to-market team and scale further customer product deployments. Eventually, the company hopes to advance its AI systems enough to expand its technology into more applications like industrial food production, ghost kitchens and commercial kitchens.
