PayPal Holdings has agreed to acquire Cymbio, an Israeli multichannel commerce orchestration platform that enables brands to sell across agentic AI interfaces and major e-commerce marketplaces.
According to an announcement issued Thursday, the acquisition builds on an existing partnership between the two companies. In October 2025, PayPal integrated Cymbio into its agentic commerce offering, a suite of tools designed to help merchants operate in an increasingly AI-driven retail environment.
PayPal said the acquisition will strengthen its agentic commerce capabilities and accelerate its rollout to a broader base of merchants. The company’s agentic checkout and commerce services are already available through platforms such as Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity, with integrations for ChatGPT and Google Gemini expected to follow.
After the acquisition closes, Cymbio’s team will support PayPal’s Store Sync service, which allows merchants’ product data to be discovered within AI-powered channels and enables orders generated through those interfaces to flow directly into existing fulfillment and order management systems.
