WorkWhile, a San Francisco-based platform enabling businesses to source, manage and optimize hourly workforces, announced the appointment of James Everingham, CEO of Guild AI, to its board of directors.

The company’s AI-native platform combines predictive intelligence, automation and flexible staffing infrastructure to help companies in industries like logistics and hospitality improve reliability, workforce efficiency and operational performance. WorkWhile will focus on developing digital twins, real-world AI models, governance and oversight infrastructure and other capabilities as it enters its next phase of growth.

“AI is moving beyond software assistants into systems that directly influence real-world business operations,” Everingham said in a statement. “What matters now is building infrastructure that organizations can trust, systems that are observable, reliable and capable of supporting complex operational decisions at scale. WorkWhile is uniquely positioned at the intersection of AI and the physical workforce, and I’m excited to support the company as it continues to grow.”
