Develop, optimize, and support CNC programs and machining processes for precision glass aerospace components. Responsibilities include programming 3- and 5-axis milling, interpreting drawings and GD&T, selecting tooling and machining parameters, validating toolpaths through simulation, preparing documentation, troubleshooting setups, improving efficiency and quality, maintaining CAD/CAM standards, and collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams on design and continuous improvement initiatives.

Owns enterprise IFS architecture across Apps 10 and IFS Cloud, serving as design authority for configurations, integrations, reports, data models, security, and platform changes. Leads the IFS Centre of Excellence, Change Advisory Board, roadmap, and continuous improvement pipeline. Partners with IT, business, compliance, and vendors to support ERP transformation, cloud adoption, performance, lifecycle management, and regulatory alignment with CMMC, ITAR, and DCAA requirements.

Develops and optimizes precision optical manufacturing processes for lenses, mirrors, telescopes, and assemblies. Leads manufacturability reviews, process validation, tooling and fixture design, production transfers, statistical process control, troubleshooting, and corrective actions. Collaborates with R&D, production, and quality teams, supports inspection and testing protocols, improves yield and efficiency, and mentors engineering and production staff.

Design, build, integrate, test, and maintain custom mechatronic systems for precision optics manufacturing. Responsibilities include mechanical mechanisms, motion systems, robotics, automation, CAD, BOMs, vendor coordination, electrical and software integration, controls development, troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement. The engineer collaborates across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, product development, and engineering teams while supporting equipment performance, product quality, yield, and throughput.

Leads thin-film coating product and process development, including coating and tooling design, deposition, qualification, documentation, testing, and characterization. Troubleshoots coating operations and equipment, identifies root causes, implements corrective actions, and maintains process controls. Supports preventive maintenance, production quality, and cross-functional project delivery. The role requires hands-on expertise with optical coating technologies, precision test equipment, process physics, tooling, and technical documentation.
