Own the end-to-end mechanical design of an aerial robotics platform, including airframe structure, actuator integration, and end-effectors. Perform structural, thermal, and environmental analysis; make DFM/DFA decisions; prototype and test hardware; manage fabrication vendors; and collaborate with electrical and controls engineers to integrate sensors, wiring, and compute for field-ready deployment.

Build the company’s initial go-to-market motion for aerial robotics serving utility customers. Identify target utility segments, develop outbound pipeline, manage customer relationships through paid pilot contracts, navigate procurement and compliance processes, translate feedback into product input, and help establish pricing and packaging. The role requires utility or regulated infrastructure sales experience, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to communicate technical products to engineering and operations stakeholders.

Build and own the robotics simulation stack, including physics-based dynamics models, closed-loop control and autonomy environments, disturbance scenarios, regression testing, and sim-to-real transfer methods. Collaborate with controls and autonomy engineers to validate algorithms before hardware testing. The role focuses on aerial robots operating in remote, hazardous, and critical infrastructure environments.
