Prepares financial statements and disclosures, applies GAAP and GAAS, and documents, validates, and tests client internal controls. Conducts accounting research, supports audit, review, and agreed-upon procedure engagements, completes workpapers under firm methodology, and communicates findings to engagement teams. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, CPA exam eligibility, Microsoft Office proficiency, and willingness to travel as needed.

Assists with client engagements involving government tax incentives, innovation credits, sustainability incentives, and related documentation. Collaborates with clients and BDO professionals, researches business and economic issues, supports business development, develops technical and communication skills, and manages multiple deadlines in a professional services environment.

Supports Core Tax Services professionals with preparing tax returns, extensions, quarterly estimates, tax accrual components, IRS notice responses, and year-end filing projections. Conducts tax research, monitors tax law developments, organizes workpapers, gathers client data, and assists with tax planning and consulting. Works under supervision while developing communication, organization, compliance, and client-service skills.

Assists assurance and audit teams with audit procedures, working papers, client communications, accounting and audit research, and engagement support. Learns GAAP, GAAS, and BDO’s audit methodology through structured training while collaborating with experienced professionals and presenting research findings.
