Manages end-to-end U.S. payroll operations, including semi-monthly payrolls, equity compensation, commissions, travel expenses, payroll accounting, reconciliations, compliance, SOX controls, system configuration, audits, and policy development. Partners with HR, Finance, Legal, Accounting, Stock Administration, and external auditors while leading and developing payroll staff.

Leads 2–3 high-impact commercial programs for a medical device company, including serviceable market expansion, pediatric emergency department penetration, sales operations, targeting, quotas, analytics, and compensation support. Translates strategy into operating models, KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement cadences while partnering across sales, product, clinical, marketing, and GTM teams. Uses AI to automate processes and accelerate analytics, with regular executive and CEO engagement.

Develop embedded Linux firmware for Ceribell’s medical EEG platform. Architect Yocto/OpenEmbedded distributions, build C/C++ and Python applications, integrate BSPs, device trees, drivers, peripherals, networking, and hardware acceleration, and optimize kernel and boot performance. Collaborate with hardware, systems, quality, and product teams while owning development, testing, documentation, and system-level firmware architecture for regulated medical devices.

Leads product strategy for software, hardware, and UI products in medical technology. Identifies and validates market opportunities, develops business cases including pricing and margins, defines product roadmaps, and drives cross-functional execution through launch. Partners with executives, Product Design, R&D, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, Marketing, and Clinical Affairs while serving as the strategic voice of the customer. Engages customers and industry stakeholders through regular travel.

Lead end-to-end product development for SaMD neurodiagnostics (EEG) products. Define vision, write requirements and acceptance criteria, manage backlog and releases, integrate AI features, ensure FDA and global regulatory compliance, drive VOC and competitive analysis, and coordinate cross-functional execution from design through verification and launch.

Lead development of health economic materials and business case tools to quantify clinical and economic value. Support sales with account-specific business cases, VAC/RFP submissions, reimbursement guidance, and cross-functional alignment to drive adoption of Ceribell technology.

Lead GTM strategy and launch planning for new product features and indications. Drive positioning, cross-functional alignment with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success, synthesize field and KOL insights, and scale commercial adoption to meet revenue and customer success goals. Manage strategic roadmap and execution for market impact.

Lead R&D strategy and operations for the CTO office: perform strategic analyses, prepare leadership reports, drive cross-functional R&D projects, maintain trackers and dashboards, identify risks, and run ad hoc strategic initiatives and benchmarking to inform MedTech product and technology decisions.

Lead People Operations Core, design and scale HR systems and lifecycle processes, ensure compliance and audit readiness, own TA and talent management operations, partner cross-functionally to deliver compensation, benefits, equity, payroll, and HR analytics to support growth.

Lead end-to-end applied AI engineering projects: define requirements, design and own GCP infrastructure, oversee development and contractors, deploy production ML systems, write PRDs and architecture, drive company-wide AI rollout, training, governance, and scalable operational foundations.

The Director of Systems Engineering will lead the development of electrical hardware, systems, and software for medical technology products, manage teams, and oversee system integration and project management.
