Hands-on research internship in learning-based manipulation of deformable fabrics. Validate data collection, train and tune VLA/imitation-learning policies in PyTorch, run and iterate models on real bimanual robots, build and validate cloth simulation pipelines for sim-to-real, run disciplined experiments with tracking, and collaborate with hardware and data teams to integrate results.

Design, train, and deploy robotic manipulation policies for deformable textiles. Build end-to-end pipelines integrating perception, state estimation, planning, and control. Integrate multi-modal sensors, develop large-scale deformable simulations for sim-to-real transfer, and produce reliable production-level Python/C++ deployments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to scale solutions to manufacturing.

Lead mechanical design and R&D for automated apparel manufacturing equipment. Create prototypes and production machines, design robotic end effectors and tooling, perform tolerance analyses and engineering validation, prepare BOMs and cost estimates, coordinate vendors, develop assembly processes, and support transfer to manufacturing while mentoring cross-functional teams.
