The role also handles resident requests, complaints, key access, correspondence, meetings, and office organization while maintaining hospitality and service standards.

The Director of Nursing leads nursing services in a skilled nursing and senior living environment. Responsibilities include overseeing resident care, staffing, scheduling, regulatory compliance, restorative care, quality assurance, outside care providers, employee training and evaluations, budgets, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The role promotes clinical excellence, resident-centered care, employee engagement, and compliance with federal and state requirements.

Supervises nursing care and personnel during assigned shifts in a long-term care setting. Administers medications and treatments, oversees admissions and transfers, leads clinical huddles, supports documentation and care planning, coordinates with physicians and families, maintains medication areas, and ensures resident safety and regulatory readiness. Provides direct nursing care and assists the Director of Nursing with delegated responsibilities.

Prepares therapeutic desserts, salads, and meal trays according to residents’ diet orders; serves meals; sets up and breaks down dining areas; and transports food and supplies within the health center. The role requires effective communication, basic arithmetic, measurement and conversion skills, organization, empathy for older adults, and the ability to stand, walk, lift, push, and work around temperature extremes and cleaning chemicals.

Manages dining room operations and serving staff in a senior living community. Responsibilities include scheduling, training, coaching, service oversight, cleanliness and sanitation, food presentation, staffing, inventory readiness, customer service, table setting, order taking, dish clearing, and supporting dishwashing. Ensures efficient, courteous dining service while maintaining company quality and budget standards.
