Design and own Ditto’s networking and transport stack for mesh systems, including routing, connectivity, protocols, and edge platforms. Re-architect networking components for scalability and performance, debug reliability and synchronization issues, optimize concurrency and resource usage, and develop resilient protocol abstractions for unreliable networks. Establish observability for production diagnostics while collaborating in a distributed team.

Own Ditto’s Rust SDK observability strategy and implementation across iOS, Android, desktop, and embedded platforms. Design telemetry, logging, tracing, support bundles, buffering, sampling, and export systems optimized for constrained devices and intermittent connectivity. Improve logging performance, maintain Rust SDK features, and support customers debugging production integrations. The role requires systems-level Rust, FFI, cross-platform SDK development, observability design, strong written communication, and customer empathy.

Develop and deploy ATAK plugins and native Android applications for disconnected, low-bandwidth tactical environments. Design integrations between Ditto’s synchronization platform and the TAK ecosystem, including APIs, data contracts, and synchronization patterns. Diagnose real-time application and data-flow issues in operational settings, translate field feedback into product requirements, and support reliable software deployment on end-user devices.

Own Ditto’s consolidated financial model, budgeting process, revenue and cash forecasting, financial metrics, reporting and forecasting platform, fundraising support, and corporate FP&A cadence. Partner cross-functionally with executives, Accounting, GTM, and People to deliver board materials, sales compensation administration, and actionable financial insights. Build and scale AI-enabled planning tools while maintaining rigorous financial controls and data integrity.

The Software Engineer, Mobile Transports will advance Ditto's mobile transport technologies focusing on networking performance and reliability across platforms. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimizing mobile transport infrastructure, collaborating with teams, and monitoring system performance.

Design and scale distributed systems for Ditto's edge-to-cloud capabilities, lead services development in Rust, and mentor engineers.
