Eight Sleep Benefits Overview

Build and test electromechanical prototypes, design experiments, analyze validation results, and develop custom test fixtures for R&D and manufacturing. Use 3D printing, machining, quick-turn tooling, embedded hardware, Arduino, and Python. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers throughout product development. This is an on-site role in San Francisco requiring occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Design and develop consumer electronic products from prototypes through mass production. Responsibilities include electrical system architecture, schematic capture, PCB layout, bring-up, characterization, production test infrastructure, reliability testing, and prototype development. The role collaborates with mechanical, embedded software, industrial design, product, manufacturing, and overseas supplier teams. Candidates should have strong mixed-signal consumer electronics experience and expertise in ECAD tools, Altium, SMT, and flex PCB manufacturing.

Lead hardware product development programs from concept through mass production. Establish program objectives, execution strategies, schedules, and risk plans; coordinate cross-functional engineering teams; maintain alignment among senior leaders and business stakeholders; champion scalable development processes; and ensure successful product launches. The role is based in San Francisco five days per week and requires travel to China as needed.
