The Director of FP&A will build and lead the financial planning function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, performance reporting, and operating metrics. The role partners with executives and functional leaders, supports fundraising and investor communications, improves financial systems and reporting processes, and develops a high-performing FP&A team. The position is onsite in Alameda, California, with travel up to 5%.

Leads enterprise tax strategy, compliance, reporting, and monetization of federal and state incentives, including clean energy, advanced nuclear, and R&D credits. Advises executives on transactions, investments, expansion, and tax risk while overseeing income, partnership, sales and use, property, and operational taxes. Builds scalable processes, controls, technology, and a tax team supporting SOX and IPO readiness. Manages advisors, audits, filings, and cross-functional tax initiatives.

Supports hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure across corporate, engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, and datacenter environments. Responsibilities include networking, compute, servers, endpoints, identity, cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, automation, troubleshooting, monitoring, documentation, incident response, migrations, and infrastructure projects. The role collaborates with security, engineering, manufacturing, facilities, vendors, and business teams while improving infrastructure reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Designs, builds, tests, and troubleshoots electrochemical sensors, electrolytic cells, and molten fluoride salt systems. Analyzes electrochemical signals and data, supports equipment commissioning, investigates failures, develops test procedures, and collaborates with chemistry, materials, mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams. The role involves hands-on laboratory and pilot-scale work with high-temperature molten salts, corrosion analysis, beryllium-containing materials, safety controls, and technical reporting.

Develop and maintain scientific and engineering software in Python and C++, including numerical algorithms and computational modeling. Own software architecture, CI/CD, packaging, artifact delivery, containerization, quality assurance, and reproducible releases. Support HPC workflows using Slurm, MPI, GPUs, and Open OnDemand. Establish engineering standards, conduct design and code reviews, mentor engineers, diagnose complex software issues, and collaborate with nuclear engineers and computational scientists.

Administer and optimize cloud, on-premises, SaaS, and hybrid enterprise infrastructure. Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, AWS, identity, networking, security controls, patching, and monitoring. Develop automation and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, and PowerShell. Support enterprise applications, integrations, upgrades, deployments, vendors, documentation, troubleshooting, and technical guidance for junior staff.

Design, fabricate, commission, and improve experimental systems, prototype hardware, laboratory equipment, and test infrastructure for advanced reactor technology. Investigate technical problems through engineering analysis and hands-on experimentation; integrate mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, instrumentation, software, and control systems; develop testing, automation, and data acquisition solutions; troubleshoot hardware; document procedures and results; and support facility commissioning, operation, and maintenance.

Leads strategic commercial initiatives and cross-functional execution as an extension of the commercial development VP. Coordinates business, engineering, operations, and corporate stakeholders; manages executive decision support, strategic programs, operating reviews, communications, accountability, risk escalation, and organizational improvement. The role translates strategic priorities into executable plans, tracks performance, aligns resources, and supports high-priority projects across a complex technical organization.

Designs and develops safety-critical analog and digital instrumentation and control hardware for advanced nuclear power systems. Responsibilities include circuit design, schematic and PCB development, system integration, prototype bring-up, debugging, qualification testing, requirements traceability, design documentation, configuration control, and technical risk resolution. The engineer applies fault-tolerant and fail-safe principles, supports Reactor Protection System hardware, collaborates with manufacturing and suppliers, and mentors less-experienced engineers.

Lead mechanical design and delivery of reactor vessel structures, components, and interfaces. Develop and maintain requirements, design bases, analyses, and verification plans. Coordinate multidisciplinary integration, ensure compliance with codes/standards, support fabrication/inspection/testing, manage supplier technical interactions, assess risks/costs/schedule, and mentor junior engineers.
