KoBold Metals Benefits Overview

Lead end-to-end design, prototyping, validation, automation, manufacturing, and field deployment of a novel mechatronic sensing and imaging system. Coordinate cross-functional teams, integrate data streams with analytics, manage vendors/contractors, and develop hardware development processes to support remote exploration projects.

Owns production data systems end to end, including data models, ETL and API integrations, applications, platform maintenance, data quality, governance, and technical debt. Supports OPSDB and exploration operations, improves reliability and alerting, documents systems, collaborates with cross-functional and nontechnical stakeholders, and mentors junior analysts. The role also supports procurement and inventory initiatives, works with geologists, and requires occasional international travel to exploration sites.

Leads engineering design authority and integration for a major copper mining project through FEED, construction, and handover. Directs EPCM performance, establishes design standards, manages technical risks, approves key engineering deliverables, and leads constructability, operability, value engineering, process safety, stage-gate, change control, quality, and technical assurance activities. Builds the owner’s engineering team and ensures designs are safe, operable, maintainable, cost-effective, and ready for operations.
