Lead development of SL5 fieldbuilding programs in San Francisco: design and run fellowships, workshops, conferences, and community engagement to transition senior security experts into AI security roles. Own program content, branding, invites, and operations with CEO input and events support; run quarterly events and grow a secure, high-impact community hub.

Design and run experiments measuring SL5 controls on real ML workflows; forecast 2028 frontier workloads and infrastructure needs; run and interpret scalable experiments to inform a purpose-built, high-assurance datacenter standard for frontier AI.

Own and improve full-cycle recruiting: source, screen, coordinate interviews, build clear role definitions/scorecards, drive offers, and represent the organization to candidates.

Research and define security controls for the SL5 datacenter standard: analyze primary sources (NIST, ICD 705, vendor docs), draft and maintain control text, synthesize evidence for auditors, and support stakeholder engagement and documentation.

Provide high-touch executive support to the CEO: manage calendar and communications, handle travel and expenses, prepare meeting materials and slide decks, proofread and draft correspondence, and track priorities to prevent dropped tasks. Work closely in an early-stage, mission-driven, security-sensitive environment.

Design and align auditing protocols and standards for nation-state-level AI datacenter security, maintain stakeholder relationships, and ensure designs balance strong security properties with auditability.

Manage Berkeley/SF office move-in, procurement, build-out, and daily operations. Own end-to-end event planning and execution (logistics, AV, food, speakers, attendees), build repeatable tools and documentation, and maintain office policies and tooling. Coordinate vendors, access, and member support; work flexible hours for events and prioritize attendee experience.

Design and operate the SL5 datacenter network fabric: switch configuration, segmentation, egress controls, gateways/tunnels and bandwidth limiting. Own identity and trust layer including PKI or baked-key alternatives, domain services, signing/code-signing, and audit logging. Translate threat-model security properties into enforceable, testable controls for a nation-state-resistant AI datacenter.

Lead development and versioning of the SL5 security standard (NIST SP 800-53 overlay) across network, physical, machine, personnel, and supply chain streams. Resolve open questions, extend mappings to IL6/FedRAMP High/CNSSI 1253, gather and translate stakeholder feedback, set editorial standards, and balance security with adoptability for frontier AI datacenters.

Run and scale internal operations: find and manage an SF office, design onboarding, run events/offsites, own payroll/accounting/legal liaison, establish internal policies and tooling, and handle day-to-day admin to keep a small technical team productive and secure.
