Debbie Markowitz believes in giving team members the proper context, such as the larger business objectives behind a project, to inform their decision-making processes. “I encourage my team to take problem-solving as far as they can, and then to quickly ask for help to remove blockers,” the Spring Health CFO said. “When you provide a challenging growth opportunity, it’s also important to remind your teams that they can take risks, ask for help, make mistakes and even fail — as long as they have the key knowledge to continue their development.”
