Designs, fabricates, integrates, operates, and troubleshoots mechanical parts and systems in an advanced R&D and production environment. Responsibilities include mechanical design, fabrication oversight, technical leadership, experimental data interpretation, prototype development, system integration, vendor coordination, and fielding novel solutions. The role requires collaboration across disciplines, detailed engineering analysis, 3D CAD design, manufacturing knowledge, and prototype build execution.

Conduct mammalian tissue culture, molecular cloning, RNA/DNA isolation and analysis, and biochemical assays supporting drug discovery, cell and gene therapies, and drug delivery programs. Maintain laboratory records, electronic lab documentation, SOPs, reports, and housekeeping standards. Collaborate across multidisciplinary research programs in an onsite laboratory environment.

Responsibilities include mechanical design, fabrication oversight, engineering analysis, system integration, prototype planning, troubleshooting, experimental data interpretation, vendor coordination, and developing laser material processing solutions. The role works onsite with interdisciplinary teams in an advanced R&D and production environment.

Develop and maintain robotics software, scripts, and real-time systems for prototype robotic hardware. Integrate sensors and external devices, develop autonomy, teleoperation, perception, simulation, and control capabilities, and test complex robotic platforms. Support multidisciplinary R&D programs, technical proposals, customer demonstrations, new business efforts, and research projects involving commercial and government applications.

Designs and leads high-risk, high-impact deep-technology research programs with up to $30 million in funding. Selects and mentors multidisciplinary teams, manages multiple projects, makes go/no-go funding decisions, and engages industry, government, and academic stakeholders internationally, particularly in Japan. Focus areas include advanced connectivity, computing, AI, robotics, sensors, and digital twins.

Coordinate renewals and new sales for BioCyc/Pathway Tools, maintaining sales records and renewal tracking in HubSpot and Stripe. Manage customer outreach, negotiations, contracting, invoicing, compliance coordination, customer support, forecasting, pipeline reporting, and sales metrics. Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and customers to ensure a reliable commercial experience.

Supports low-complexity grants, contracts, and agreements for a government research organization. Responsibilities include contract analysis, compliance review, proposal preparation, pre-contract data collection, government contract administration, vendor and customer communications, and drafting nondisclosure and teaming agreements. The role collaborates with legal, project, program, sales, and service teams and may require minimal travel to SRI or customer sites.
