Provide defense litigation services in life sciences and healthcare matters including medical malpractice, senior living and long-term care, and medical device product liability; draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal memoranda; handle court appearances, depositions, mediations, and manage litigation caseloads while communicating with clients and collaborating with firm colleagues.

Handle general liability defense litigation from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and legal memoranda. Defend clients in general liability and complex civil litigation matters from intake through trial. Responsibilities include managing caseloads, developing case strategy, evaluating liability and damages, taking and defending depositions, appearing in court, arguing motions, conducting trials, drafting discovery and pretrial motions, communicating with clients and litigation stakeholders, and preparing case reports. Senior attorneys may independently manage complex matters and mentor junior attorneys.

Defend landlords, property owners, and management companies in habitability, wrongful eviction, premises liability, and related litigation. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and legal memoranda; handle court appearances, depositions, mediations, and expert discovery; manage cases from inception through resolution; evaluate liability and damages; develop strategy; communicate with clients and litigation stakeholders; prepare case updates; and potentially manage complex matters and mentor junior attorneys.

Defend clients in complex toxic tort matters (talc, silica, asbestos) from intake through trial. Manage case strategy, take and defend depositions, handle pretrial and trial motions, prepare exhibits, appear first chair at trial, and maintain client communications and case management.

Defend complex toxic tort matters (talc, asbestos, silicosis, etc.) by drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, attending hearings/depositions/mediations, managing litigation caseloads, collaborating with colleagues, and communicating status to clients.

Manage a diverse general liability defense caseload from inception through trial. Develop case strategies, handle pleadings, motions, discovery, client communications, evaluate liability/damages, and negotiate settlements while collaborating with partners and support staff.

Manage IP and technology litigation caseloads and counsel clients on IP, privacy, AI governance, and data governance. Prosecute and defend copyright, trademark, trade secret, and privacy claims; advise on transactional matters and compliance; draft policies, conduct risk assessments, and coordinate with partners and clients on strategy and status reporting.

Handles premises security and general liability defense litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions, attending hearings, depositions, and mediations, managing cases through resolution, and communicating with clients. The attorney will collaborate with a national coordinating counsel team and requires California admission, substantial insurance defense experience, strong legal writing and analytical skills, and preferably trial and negligent security experience.
