Senior Technical Writer 

BigPanda technical writers work with a world-class team of engineers and architects to create product documentation for BigPandas Event Correlation and Automation Platform. Working in a fast-paced and challenging environment, you experience the immediate and direct impact of your contributions as BigPanda delivers product updates to our rapidly growing base of customers.

Responsibilities

  • Create online documentation, tutorials, for technical audiences (engineers, application developers, etc).
  • Produce exceptional documentation including Knowledge Articles, Process Guides, Quick Reference Guides, implementation guides, migration guides, best practices, and FAQs.

 Newsletters, Standards Documentation, and Training Guides.

  • Review and maintain articles in both the internal and external Knowledge Bases
  • Develop and maintain our documentation processes and standards
  • Collaborate with and support the Client Services Team to tune and evolve our Knowledge Bases
  • Analyze and translate technical and functional information into user-friendly material
  • Meet with product managers, software engineers, and UI designers to ensure all features, enhancements, and changes are fully documented.
  • Work with release engineers and dev ops to deliver product updates and documentation.
  • Work with support engineers and customer success managers to help drive customer engagement and adoption, including:
  • Authoring and editing technical blog posts.


Required Skills/ Experience

  • 5+ years creating technical product documentation from scratch, as well as from specs.
  • Expertise in documenting technical SaaS products, Experience in managing a large documentation site, experience in documenting APIs.
  • Experience developing and/or documenting applications using any of the following technologies:
  • Expert level technical writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail

Experience with all aspects of the documentation development lifecycle, including:

  • Profiling audiences.
  • Gathering information, interviewing SMEs, and conducting research.
  • Authoring, publishing, and managing online/web content.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing/Communications, English, Computer Science
  • Fluent oral and written communication in English
