The Team

At Torch, the Product Department exists to create a product that allows us to understand our users and customers in a profound and unbiased way. What challenges do they face, what are their needs, what drives them, what excites them, and what makes them do what they do?

Torch is looking for a Senior Technical Writer focused on the technical and help documentation of our platform ensuring our customers and internal teams have all the necessary product information they need, when they need, and where they need to join a growing Product team. We live our values and put collaboration, transparency, and a growth mindset of “always be learning” at the forefront of everything we do. 

This role will be reporting to the VP of Product currently.

Your position

• Work within and improve our platform’s documentation organization and management processes
• Ensure we have comprehensive and standardized documentation coverage of the Torch platform
• Collaborate and confer with stakeholders to document subject material and technical specifications
• Inform and provide content experiences in a thoughtful and inclusive manner
• Research, propose, and implement customer-specific documentation solutions
• Always have an eye on user feedback in order to make ongoing improvements in documentation

Your experience

• Experience directly related to developing technical and/or product information within an agile environment
• Deep understanding of technical writing conventions
• Ability to comprehend and clearly communicate complex technical data
• Highly motivated with an ‘always be learning’ mindset
