The opportunity

The Codice Software team as part of Unity Technologies is looking for a Technical Writer to build and publish documentation for the Plastic SCM distributed version control system.

Join an existing team as part of the Unity Technology Group. Collaborating with our Codice and Unity engineering teams to produce high-quality documentation that simplifies, explains, and empowers our users to adopt and learn Plastic SCM. The role will include a mix of writing from scratch, revising draft documents supplied by developers, overhauling legacy content and releasing blog posts and newsletters. 

You will be part of an exciting time as Unity expands our create solution products, the documentation is a crucial area of our solution offering and will help to empower creators on cutting edge technology.

This is a 12-month fixed-term part time contract.

What you’ll be doing

• Writing documentation on Plastic SCM features. This includes both installation and step-by-step guides and supporting materials
• Gathering, editing, and publishing subject-specific knowledge from subject matter experts
• Supporting development teams to deliver high-quality technical accurate content
• Writing monthly newsletters to summarise product improvements
• Collaborate in the creation, and edition of relevant blog posts

What we’re looking for

• Impeccable standard of written and spoken English
• Experience working as a technical writer
• Experience with coding, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Python or C#

You might also have

• Experience with using Version Control such as Git or at least an understanding
• Additional written and spoken languages
