About the Role:
The Director of Business Intelligence at KeepTruckin will lead the team that elevates the ability of the cross functional organizations to make data informed decisions, and provides the platforms for business insights that are world-class. We are seeking a talented and motivated leader to accelerate our efforts to drive trust of our data, democratize insights of that data, and ensure the adoption of a data culture at KeepTruckin. The Director will work closely with Product Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Sales teams to build governed and trusted data pipelines and provide the robust enterprise platform for self-reliance by all business teams. A successful candidate will have a strategic vision for how to leverage data at scale, be technically strong and business savvy, have excellent communication and collaboration skills and will provide data leadership to the company.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, define, and executed a vision and strategy for Data and Business Intelligence
- Drive the data culture at KeepTruckin with support, training, and change management to enable fluency throughout the organization,
- Collaborate with the business stakeholders to align on roadmaps for data priorities to support company and team priorities
- Partner closely with leadership and business stakeholders to embrace a culture of hypothesis-driven innovation; help stakeholders identify key questions, structure experiments, and interpret results to power data-driven decisions
- Create a data engineering team to ensure a world-class data infrastructure.
- Manage the enterprise data platform that enables self-reliance for every business stakeholder in a trusted and governed environment.
- Manage a team of data engineers, platform engineers, and architects that enable the success of business intelligence at KeepTruckin
- Mentor team with a focus on career growth and strategic thinking
- Attract and retain top talent to propel this team to a world class level
What We're Looking For:
- Degree in business, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, or other quantitative fields
- 8+ years of experience as a hands-on manager of a data science/analytics team
- 5+ years of experience providing business insight support for senior executives
- Proven history of success implementing data informed decision making practices
- Experience leading large scale technical projects
- Experience in storytelling with data and executive presentations
- Expertise with Tableau, Snowflake, SQL, and Python as applied to Business Intelligence
- Deep knowledge of data models, experimental design, and execution
- Strong ability to communicate complicated insights concisely, at a level appropriate to relevant stakeholder needs
