The Instructional Designer is part of an exciting team that creates and delivers materials to enable our customers and partners to be successful with Sage Intacct. The Sage Intacct Education team is looking for an experienced Instructional Designer that covers the entire gamut of training -- from course concept to development, of on-demand, video, and instructor-led learning. The position supports our Sage Intacct application so ideally, you should have an understanding of Accounting concepts and processes. 

The Instructional Designer should have, or be able to acquire, in-depth knowledge of Sage Intacct products. You will need the ability to collaborate with other Instructional Designers, Instructors, Technical Writers, Product Managers, Professional Services and Partner Enablement to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of course offerings. The proven ability to work independently to manage projects is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain courseware of varying modalities, with a focus on videos for in-app learning
  • Record voiceover for videos as assigned
  • Manage projects from inception to release
  • Approach projects with energy, flexibility, and attention to detail; work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Quickly learn products and processes required by various audiences and translate that information into courseware for learners
  • Keep up to date on new product features, identify impact to materials, and update materials appropriately
  • Troubleshoot product and/or activity errors and escalate for resolution as appropriate
  • Stay current on industry trends and related technology and incorporate industry best practices and techniques into the learning experiences
  • Take initiative and display creativity to help customers and partners get measurably greater understanding and productivity with Sage Intacct
  • Engage in special projects to support the Education team's business processes and tools as required

Requirements:

  • 3+ years hands-on experience developing on-demand/video training and instructor-led courseware on a software product, preferably SaaS
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, recording voiceover and maintaining videos, training aids, and hands-on exercises
  • Ability to break down complex topics into logical sequences
  • Must possess organization, time management, verbal/written communication skills, and ability to prioritize
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of authoring tools required, such as TechSmith Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, or Articulate Storyline
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Knowledge of SCORM standards desired
  • Experience with video hosting platforms, such as Wistia, YouTube, or Litmos LMS, is desired
  • Experience with accounting principles and financial software is desired
