About the Role

In this role, you'll accelerate growth at Mux by driving corporate development initiatives and acquisition opportunities that bring leading companies, technologies and talent into the business.

Outcomes:

• Develop a world-class corporate development practice to scalably identify, diligence and integrate acquisition and partnership targets
• Partner with functional leaders across the business and technical teams to identify inorganic opportunities that will accelerate their strategic priorities and roadmaps
• Develop a rigorous understanding of the industry landscape and build a network of entrepreneurs, senior executives and investors to proactively source new opportunities
• Own and lead all phases of the deal process and managing complex negotiations from start to finish
• Independently source and own relationships with investors, advisors and executives at target companies
• Scale and operationalize Mux's M&A and corporate development processes

• Analytical rigor: develop structured approaches to problem solving and drive to support decisions with data
• Deal execution: experience driving multiple business deals through all phases and managing complex negotiations from start to finish
• Entrepreneurial: motivated to work in a fast-paced, hypergrowth environment and building functions from the ground up

• Strong communication: ability to simplify highly complex problems and develop clear recommendations

• Prior experience
• 10 + years experience in corporate development, venture capital, private equity or investment banking with a technology focus
• Domain experience in video, developer tools, B2B SaaS and/or open-source technology is required
• Understanding of technology and experience with various tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, BI tools, Salesforce, etc.)
