Tribe and Karma of the Team:

As part of the Marketing org, the Brand team tells Segment’s story to the world and is responsible for creating compelling, effective branded moments that provide value to our customers. The Brand Designer will play an integral role in designing the key touch points for Segment across all earned, owned, and paid channels, including all marketing assets, brand communications, campaigns, and beyond. The ideal candidate is an excellent graphic designer with a strong skill for illustration and enthusiasm for collaboration with cross-functional marketing partners and creative direction leadership. 

Drive and Focus of the Role:

  • Own ideation and creation of inventive, customer-centric, high-fidelity branded designs that meet marketing objectives while delighting our audience
  • Design across varying mediums for a wide range of projects, including product marketing, content marketing, integrated campaigns, brand campaigns, branded merchandise, and more
  • Powerfully and purposefully leverage the brand’s design, illustration, and tone to visually communicate intricate concepts in a compelling way while building brand equity
  • Leverage, safeguard, and explore the evolution of Segment’s brand identity system and guidelines in collaboration with the Creative Director
  • Smoothly manage incoming requests from marketing partners and prioritize workload based on business goals
  • Effectively communicate and influence design decisions while welcoming cross-functional collaboration
  • Partner with company stakeholders outside of Marketing to ensure the translation of core Segment brand elements across our digital and physical properties

What we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years of relevant hands-on experience at an advertising agency or in-house creative team leading projects from conceptualization to completion
  • Master of key design tools, including Adobe CC and Figma
  • Continually raise the bar for design excellence and explore the possibilities of new forms of expression
  • Committed to maintaining an excellent, pixel-perfect eye for detail and consistency
  • Enthusiastic about strategically translating marketing goals and technical concepts
  • Portfolio demonstrates your ability to push a brand forward with fresh ideas across a variety of digital assets and campaigns
  • Portfolio demonstrates strong visual, typographic, and illustration principles
  • Understand the value of design consistency and cohesion in maintaining and building upon a strong visual language through brand systems and design libraries
  • Gracefully welcome cross-functional collaboration and Creative Director feedback
  • Strong sense of ownership and are at ease in managing your time and deadlines

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Twilio's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well. 

Salary:

Denver/Boulder Metro:

Salary Range: $61,888 - $85,096

Rest of Colorado:

Salary Range: $54,152 - $74,459

Non Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
