To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a User Researcher to join our User Research team. As the lead User Researcher, you will be responsible for defining and developing the user research practice within Grammarly Business, conducting qualitative and quantitative research to help inform product strategy, capabilities, and product offerings. The role is ideal for someone with experience working in the B2B industry, a desire to drive high-impact business outcomes, and an interest in engaging deeply in work execution. You will also take part in shaping the broader user research function across Grammarly. This position will report to the Head of User Research.
Your impact
As the lead User Researcher on Grammarly Business, you will have the opportunity to accelerate the organization’s learning of our B2B users and define the direction of new language technologies to improve communication for professionals across industries. You will learn to shape and embed user-insights in a new product organization and partner closely with leaders in Product, Design, Marketing, Data Science, and Sales. You will partner with User Research and Design in defining and building the broader user research practice at Grammarly.
In this role, you will:
- Define and develop the user research practice within Grammarly Business to help inform product strategy, capabilities, and product offerings.
- Develop research plans and conduct user research studies with clearly stated goals and research questions.
- Lead the team in fostering a deep understanding of our B2B customers and their respective vertical industries to influence and shape our Grammarly Business product offerings.
- Design and conduct qualitative research, such as user interviews, diary studies, ethnography, journey maps, and usability studies to help identify user needs, problems, and opportunities.
- Design and conduct quantitative research, such as in-app and external surveys, and produce comprehensive survey analysis and reporting.
- Conduct research strategy workshops to help ground strategic decisions with user insights during the product development process.
- Ability to identify and explore new opportunities through creative research methods and co-design sessions to help define product roadmaps, vision, and strategy.
- Synthesize and communicate research findings to advise product decisions through rich storytelling, such as presentations, reports, workshops, or any other novel, creative approaches that you invent.
- Participate in building the user research practice at Grammarly through hiring, mentoring, and building or selecting research tools and resources.
