We are looking for someone who can draw on their skills and experience to assess business requirements and architecture to design secure, high-performance technical solutions in Salesforce.

This position is an essential, strategic component of the Systems Operations team. The Senior Salesforce System Architect acts as a partner with the Marketing and Sales Ops teams to optimize our process, systems and operations. Through the use of design documentation and best-practice methodologies; they will be responsible for the detailed design of Salesforce related projects from inception through production support. They will be responsible for ensuring that the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business unit, ensuring that proper testing is implemented and performance requirements are closely monitored.

The ideal candidate has strong technical Salesforce experience and is a highly driven and results-oriented individual, who can balance the art of execution and tying it back to strategy. They have sharp critical thinking skills and are quick on their feet. We’re looking for someone who is resourceful and has had proven success in keeping the customer in mind and driving towards successful outcomes. 

This position can be based out of our Oakland office or the Denver office.

As the Senior Salesforce System Architect at Fivetran you will:

• Drive and govern the infrastructure design, capacity planning, and system/application development in Salesforce
• Be responsible for the detailed design of enterprise-level Salesforce and related technology projects from inception through production support
• Manage the development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of highly secure solutions that are optimized for performance and built to scale
• Clearly articulate design considerations, trade-offs, benefits, and recommendations for a technical architecture
• Built out and maintain salesforce integrations with various third party tools
• Demonstrate progressive leadership in the full life cycle of the software development environment
• Build out a robust QA process for all Salesforce releases
• Drive continuous improvement of business processes to increase quality and overall satisfaction of the end users

What you'll bring:

• CPQ knowledge is required for this role.
• Minimum of 3 years of Salesforce.com (SFDC) systems implementation experience, certification preferred
• Extensive experience with Salesforce configuration – including workflows, validation rules, and security controls
• Experience defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed Salesforce system and functional designs
• Experience in documenting current state business processes and wire framing system designs using process flow diagram tools, sequence diagrams, and make recommendations for future state improved processes and system designs
• Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes
• Expert level understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
• A High level of initiative and self-motivation and ability to work in a team environment
• Able to work at our headquarters in Oakland, CA office
