About the role

Curebase is seeking a QA Tester who will thrive in a quickly scaling healthcare technology environment. The Quality and Compliance team at Curebase is deeply collaborative, and you will work with Clinical Operations and Engineering, along with other QA teammates, to test our Clinical Trials. QA Testing our Clinical Trial is highly important at Curebase because of our commitment to customer satisfaction and wanting to ensure all trials are of highest quality. This role reports directly to the Director of Quality.

This role is great for candidates who enjoy, and are skilled at, manual testing as most of our trials will require this.

What you’ll do

• Analyze requirements and trial documentation to write test cases for thorough coverage
• Write and execute manual tests to enable delivery of high-quality clinical trials before launching
• Use a Test Case Management tool for writing and executing test cases.
• Detect and report bugs in a defect management system.
• Communicatie testing progress, report on defects found (including severity and priority)
• Partner with Clinical Operations and Engineering to ensure each study is tested on time, is implemented correctly with excellent quality, and meets customer expectations.
• Execute automated tests on clinical trials

About you

• 2-4 years of experience in software testing 
• Bachelor’s degree or College degree in computer science, quality assurance or other related field
• Strong passion and experience for manual testing. 
• This is not a role suitable for anyone wanting to be an automation engineer.
• Knowledge of tools, concepts, and associated methodologies of QA
• Experience with test management tools, such as Zephyr.
• Experience with software development and defect management tools, such as Jira.
• Ability to work well with a remote-based team
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability. 
• Strong communication skills. 
• Tech-savvy with the skills and ability to apply new systems to her/his everyday tasks

• Ability to demonstrate good judgment and decision making, and personal accountability

Major pluses

• Experience in a  life sciences or related field
• Startup experience
• Quality certification from a recognized institution.
