An Insider's view of Cisco Meraki

What are some social events your company does?

Where to start? Weekly and hosted by local businesses, we have meditation, yoga, DIY acupressure, and my fave, Friday morning coffee class with our barista Chris & Tubs the cat! For super special events, nothing tops watching my fellow Merakians' talents shine at Open Mic, and I could play Drag Queen Bingo literally. Every. Day.

Stephanie

Employee Experience Manager

What does your typical day look like?

Every morning, I join my team's daily standup. After we catch up and unblock each other, we do our team cheer! The rest of my day consists of meetings. My favorites are 1-1s with my team members--I love connecting with people and enabling others to succeed. Otherwise, I'm in product ideation or project planning meetings. (I secretly like meetings)

Jiann

Engineering Manager

What makes someone successful on your team?

Engineers on the Meraki Insight team are creative problem solvers. We are continually thinking about what is best for our customers and providing the most value. We dream big, run experiments, and set aside time to explore moonshots. We are lifelong learners. We put the mission and the team first.

Adam

Senior Engineering Manager, Meraki Insight

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

I make myself accessible to my team in a few ways, but I think the most important is leading with trust. I do this by verbally sharing that I trust them; there is no need for them to work on earning trust from me because they already have it. Offering trust out of the gates means they spend fewer cycles earning it.
