The cloud-managed sensors team is a growing, fast paced team building Meraki's latest product line of environmental sensors with a unique, secure architecture. We are redefining a product where innovation is crucial to success. The Meraki MT environmental sensors system is powerful, secure, and does not rely on any on-premise servers, making it fast and easy to deploy one to hundreds of sensors per site.

The Meraki Sensor team is responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure and dashboards that is used for customer to configure and visualize environmental data. We are looking for a test automation engineer who is as passionate about quality as we are. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the success of our team’s mission, not to mention our customer’s lives.

Example projects of a full stack sensor engineer:

• Articulating test plans and prioritizing them for automation
• Building out our suite of BDD functional tests
• Assisting in the development of our testing framework
• Integrate end to end tests into build pipelines
• Create dashboards for monitoring and alerts around test failures
• Develop and evangelize good testing practices

You are ideal for this role if you have:

• You have 2+ years hands on experience building and maintaining test suites, preferably with open source frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, etc.
• You have experience with scripting languages like Ruby, Python, and JavaScript
• You are a proven technical communicator
• You are an enthusiastic advocate for testing best practices
• You use data and metrics to inform decisions
• You are able to weigh technical trade-offs against business goals
• You hold deep technical curiosity

Bonus points for:

• Experience with Cucumber and Cypress
• Experience with Rails
• Experience with Postgres or other RDBMS
• Experience with CI systems
• Experience with Docker and/or other container technologies
• Prior experience with IoT, BLE/WiFi/Cameras.
