We’re looking for a driven, self-starter to join our growing Accounting team. The team is a lean and high-impact team, with ownership over maintaining and producing accurate financial statements in addition to general ledger operations, payroll processing, and Procure to Pay. As an accountant in this newly created role, you will work closely with the entire Accounting team on the month-end close process, audits, reporting, and more.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

• Compile account information and prepare monthly journal entries
• Analyze and explain monthly operating expense fluctuations and variances
• Prepare and maintain monthly account reconciliations
• Assist with compiling year-end external audit requests
• Assist with ad hoc projects to gain efficiencies and enable a faster month-end close
• Work very closely with the Accounts Payable team to record vendor accruals, and revamp this process for a growing business
• Work alongside Finance to enable a more efficient Budget to Actual process

Here’s what we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Two plus years’ experience on an Accounting team
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills 
• A capacity to work both independently and collaboratively with the team and across functions in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience with NetSuite and Excel, and recording journal entries during month-end close.
• Added bonuses — prior experience with working within or alongside the Procure to Pay function (has deep understanding of the end of end flow of transactions).
