About the role:
We are looking for a Director, Sales FP&A to report to our Senior Director/Head of FP&A. The Director, Sales FP&A will provide financial leadership, partnership, and support to a fast-growing global sales organization. This is a high visibility role and is expected to be a Subject Matter Expert in the area, act as the controller for the Sales P&L, and be a partner to the Sales Leadership Team. This individual will be responsible for managing and coordinating company-wide Sales financial planning, defining and reporting KPIs, reporting for monthly forecast/close, supporting the annual planning process, and guiding/authorizing resource deployment across the Sales P&L.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Develop deep relationships with the VP Marketing, CRO and VP Worldwide Revenue Operations to be a financial partner, and to support the Sales and Marketing organizations
- Lead the forecast and management of the revenue and expenses for the GTM functions, the former in partnership with revenue accounting and the later in partnership with Sales Operations & GTM leadership
- Responsible for regular reporting on bookings by segment, renewals, pipeline, efficiency, and other ROI analyses
- Analyze pipeline, coverage, conversion, sales incentive plans, and marketing programs
- Drive forecast accuracy, predictability in results and adherence to high standards of controllership
- Identify areas of financial risk and opportunity
- Proactively identify, design and implement enhancements to existing planning processes and systems
You may be a good fit for our team if you have:
- At least 10+ years of finance experience, including 5+ years of Sales finance experience working with operations teams at a publicly traded SaaS or Software company
- A prior history of excellent cross functional collaboration, and communication
- Strong knowledge of financial and management reporting and SaaS bookings-based business models
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with a high attention to detail, a sense of personal accountability, an urgency for achieving results, and a “can do” mentality
- Ability to collaborate across all functional areas to understand needs while maintaining alignment with the company's short- and long-term strategic priorities and financial objectives
- Expert in Microsoft Excel; hands-on experience preferred on NetSuite, Salesforce, and Anaplan
- Experience manipulating large amounts of data as well as the ability to quickly learn new systems/tools
- BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a quantitative field required; MBA or advanced business degree a plus
