Primer is seeking an experienced Finance Associate to support the Director of Finance in accounting, compliance, reporting, and budgeting efforts. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of finance experience. You will be responsible for maintaining the Company’s financial policies and procedures, ensuring good accounting practices and preparing reporting packages. You will also assist in the preparation of the Company budget and assist in third-party audit exercises. We are fast-growing and seek self-motivated, adaptive teammates. Past experience with an accounting firm is preferred. 

Key components of this role are annual planning and budgeting, regular financial performance reviews, and forecasting. The role will also support critical business decisions by assessing implications to our financial performance and partnering with our department heads to dive deep on strategic questions.

Responsibilities:

-Monitor financial policies and procedures

-Maintain rolling monthly and annual forecasts

-Conduct regular financial reviews in partnership with department leaders: gather, consolidate, and analyze results; prepare internal and external reporting deliverables; highlight trends & drivers; understand forecast vs. actual variances

-Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications

Requirements

• Bachelors in Accounting or business administration
• CPA preferred
• 3+ years of finance experience, bonus points for accounting firm experience
• Ability to learn quickly, detail-oriented, constantly looking for ways to improve processes 
• Excellent communication skills – ability to engage with team members across the organization
