Bolt is growing faster than ever and seeking an experienced Finance Manager, Sales and Business Development to join our Finance team. You will work closely with Bolt’s strategy, business development, and GTM teams to assess new business expansion and partnership opportunities. Your work will be integral to driving decisions around pricing models, SAM expansion, product innovation, and overall economic impact to Bolt. The ideal candidate is someone who simultaneously has extensive financial modeling experience and the gravitas and critical thinking mindset to participate in deal construction conversations. 


Partnerships are critical to Bolt’s strategy of democratizing e-commerce. This role will get exposure to the inner workings of the Company’s strategy, trends in the industry, and help shape the financial trajectory for one of Bolt’s fastest growing teams.


This person will serve as the Finance lead and a critical business partner to the Strategy, Business Development, and Sales teams. This role will initially be a key contributor, but there could be the capacity to hire a team as the function and business continue to scale.

What you will be doing

  • Serve as the subject matter expert and business partner for sales, business development, GTM, analytics, finance, and other teams to provide quantitative analysis and key insights
  • Support teams in evaluating partnership opportunities and initiatives from an analytical perspective by quantifying the impact on the company’s financial statements and providing recommendations to leadership
  • Play a supporting role in live deal discussions and negotiations
  • Create complex, multi-scenario deal models to help drive effective decision making 
  • Work with Bolt’s deal desk and pricing committee to assess different pricing and economic structures by quantifying the impact on revenue, gross profit, and margins
  • Support business development team by evaluating business expansion opportunities including new product offerings, markets, and partnerships
  • Own requirements gathering to identify and drive systems and tools needed to effectively develop scalable and repeatable processes to accurately measure the business
  • Partner with Strategic Finance to develop long-range forecasts for partnership opportunities and budgets for associated spend and hiring needs, in addition to establishing monthly reporting on actual vs. plan performance to leadership
  • Define and standardize partnership KPIs and reporting metrics to accurately measure success and define decision making

What would set you up for success

  • 5+ years of industry experience supporting GTM sales or partnerships, preferably supporting channel or partner business at a high growth, enterprise software, SaaS, or fintech focused business.
  • Earlier experience in investment banking, consulting or private equity
  • Strong analytical capabilities coupled with the ability to distill complex conversations and topics into clear, actionable insights
  • Great partnership skills, ability to prepare forecast models from scratch, perform quantitative deep dives, and ability to work in a cross-functional environment providing support to various business leads.
  • Mastery of Google Sheets and Excel with the ability to build large scale financial models used in real time business conversations.
  • Compassion while dealing with your teammates.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver arguments based on rigorous analyses and compiling those arguments in a way that aligns our teams around top priorities.
  • Proven track record of serving as a trusted cross-functional partner across all levels of an organization.

  • Background in a high-growth Fintech / e-commerce company
  • Solid understanding of the e-commerce partner ecosystem and knowledge of standard sales cycles, economic arrangements, and deal processes
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Experience helping to craft strategy memos and thinking critically about SAM expansion, product / market fit, and value monetization
  • Deep knowledge about Checkout, Fraud, and / or Payment Processing
