Manager of Procurement and Accounts Payable

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Manager of Procurement and Accounts Payable will build out and lead the Procure to Pay team responsible for the full cycle of requisitioning, purchasing, receiving, paying and accounting for goods and services. We believe this is a critical function in assuring the integrity of key financial areas, and are looking for an individual with recent, direct experience heading and developing best in class Procure to Pay process leveraging systems and software!
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Develop and deliver a full cycle P2P strategy that is globally scalable, adds values to the business decisions, optimizes operational efficiency and SOX controls.
- Recruit the best talent to grow the team and support the daily operations of the P2P function. Areas of daily responsibilities for the team include, but not limited to, managing PRs/POs, collaborating with FP&A and other budget owners to validate the spend, reviewing related contracts and other legal documents, processing invoices against the support documents (POs, contracts, etc.), securing approvals based on the approval matrices, preparing and processing disbursements.
- Select, implement and maintain a set of systems and software that offers the best vendor and employee onboarding and end-user experiences; streamlines the processes across multiple stakeholders and checkpoints (requesters, approvers, IT, legal, finance/accounting, HR, etc.); integrates with other related policies and tools seamlessly; generates reliable and timely financial data and metrics; and enables operational efficiency and scalability.
- Expand and improve policies and procedures for procurement, expenses and disbursements around vendor invoices, employee business travel and meal expenses, and credit cards, etc. Build and implement public company ready internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Create a partnership with cross functional leadership to keep abreast of the business priorities and strategies to generate meaningful financial insight and KPIs in evaluating the historical trend, planning and forecasting.
- Lead, coach, mentor and train the team; take an active interest in their career and development; find ways to continue their growth and development.
- Participate in month/quarter/year-end accounting close. Ensure that financial data entered by the P2P team is accurate and in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead or assist on special projects as needed (e.g. audits, compliance filings, system implementation, etc.).
ABOUT YOU
- BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent with a strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger structure, and financial statements.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working directly in full cycle P2P roles, with an emphasis on building systems and technical expertise. Must have a minimum 2 years of managing a team.
- Experience in high-growth SaaS environment preferred. Experience in public company a plus.
- High proficiency using procurement software required
- Proficiency using NetSuite with multi-entity and currencies required
- Strong MS Office Suite skills including VLOOKUP, if functions, pivot tables, etc.
- Proficiency using FloQast a plus.
- Analytical and motivated to self-educate; able to identify and report relevant issues to management for timely and accurate resolution.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and demands.
- Versatile, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and various levels of management as well as external contacts.
- Reliability with strong work ethic, maturity and professionalism to handle confidential data.
