The Senior Manager, Indirect Tax will be primarily responsible for managing the company’s US indirect tax function, as well as the indirect taxes of certain foreign jurisdictions. The ideal candidate is passionate about Wish and e-commerce, has strong technical and analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This position will be located at our headquarters office in San Francisco, CA and will report to the Director of Tax.

What you'll do

• Ensure full compliance of all US indirect taxes, including sales and use and property taxes, etc., as well as indirect taxes of certain foreign jurisdictions.
• Monitor changes in indirect tax legislation related to Marketplaces and Merchants, as well as the importation, storage of owned/consigned goods that could have an impact on Wish and manage the introduction of these changes throughout the business.
• Manage relationships with tax authorities on behalf of Wish in respect of indirect taxes, communicating regulatory requirements, deadlines and ensuring compliance.
• Work well in a rapidly changing environment, (i.e. indirect tax legislative changes) and communication to/requirements from the tax authorities.
• Provide indirect tax support on transactions and projects supporting tax planning and optimization projects in order to increase efficiency.
• Coordinate, facilitate and host internal and external tax reviews and audits. 
• Monitor compliance against indirect tax risk/management policies.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience, with a minimum 5 years of indirect tax related experience, including some international indirect tax experience.
• Big 4 public accounting as well as industry experience with a CPA certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US and foreign indirect tax. 
• Prior experience with the larger sales tax engines (Vertex, Thompson Reuters) preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with NetSuite a plus.
• Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities, work cross-functionally and meet tight filing deadlines.
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
