Wish’s People Team is searching for a highly motivated and organized Benefits Specialist to join our team! The Benefits Specialist will be working with the broader HR team to help implement and manage our benefits programs. This is a great opportunity to partner closely with all HR functions, including employee onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and recruitment. You’ll use your keen eye for detail and tireless commitment to improve processes and drive programs that help our employees thrive, especially in a remote working environment. 
 

Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Manage all benefits and wellness related communications, including employee enrollment materials 
  • Audit employee benefits enrollments to ensure accuracy of eligibility 
  • Support employees with benefits-related questions and changes, and escalate to the appropriate vendor/broker as needed
  • Manage and process leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork, including medical, personal, disability and FMLA
  • Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
  • Respond to 401(k) inquiries relating to enrollments and plan changes
  • Provide necessary monthly reports for allocation/billing charges
  • Update data in Workday and audit for accuracy and compliance
  • Partner with Head of Benefits to implement benefits and perks globally 
  • Assist with annual US benefits open enrollment planning and execution
  • Maintain all benefits communications, including policies and plan documents, on the broker portal and internal wiki 
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure payroll report accuracy 
  • Create reports for management and analyze data for accuracy
  • Assist in market research and benefit program design globally
  • Partner with the Talent team as point of contact for benefit-related candidate questions

Qualifications

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 3-5 years human resources and benefits experience, preferably in the tech industry
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws, with a strong focus on CA state regulations and requirements 
  • General knowledge of principles and practices within human resources and benefits
  • Highly proficient with GSuite and Microsoft Office. Expert with Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
  • Highly collaborative and proactive mindset 
  • Self-sufficient, resourceful, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Action-oriented and able to approach challenges with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm
  • Extremely flexible and able to adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Workday HRIS experience a plus
  • Global benefits knowledge and experience a plus
