HRIS Technical Architect 

We’re looking for an HRIS Technical Architect to join our Business Systems team which is responsible for the design, architecture, and development of our business systems infrastructure. We run the systems that encompass the entire buyer’s journey as well as our internal systems in finance, accounting, and the people team. As the HRIS Technical Architect, you will work closely with People Operations and other internal stakeholders utilizing your expertise, creativity and innovation to develop integration, workflow automation, performance optimization and overall solution architecture to improve Fastly’s current People systems and integration landscape with the goal of delivering business process efficiency through the development of process automation. You have a consistent track record of administering People systems and intuitive problem solving in a dynamic, fun and fast-paced environment. This role reports to the Senior Director, Enterprise Business Systems and will be based in San Francisco, CA.

What You'll Do

  • Partner closely with the People Operations team in requirement gathering, project management, solution architecture, and implementing new systems to meet the needs of the rapidly growing business. 
  • Translate business requirements into creative and effective technical/functional designs and scalable systems architecture, then drive the implementation of those solutions from requirement gathering, development, testing, training, documentation and deployment.
  • Build integrations between our various People systems and work closely with other teams to integrate the People systems with other core business systems. 
  • Manage consultants and other external resources to drive the success of People systems projects. 
  • Support the configuration, integration and maintenance of our People systems including Ultipro, Greenhouse, and Bridge.
  • Perform Ultipro administrative functions including security maintenance, business process configuration, data loads, integrations, and upgrades.
  • Serve as the People systems authority with expert-level understanding of core HR functionalities including recruiting, compensation, benefits, payroll and performance management.
  • Promote and establish best practices in business systems analysis, design and testing to ensure the team is providing exceptional quality work that meets compliance needs and is earning trust throughout the company.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience implementing and supporting People systems and their peripheral ecosystem.
  • Bachelor's in Business Administration or Information Technology.
  • Experience in business analysis and process improvement in a fast-paced high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with Ultipro and Greenhouse.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate clearly with both internal stakeholders and external development resources plus extensive experience in process documentation.
  • Self-motivated, creative and adaptable with clear analytical, problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated history of successfully building and supporting multiple system implementations.
