Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest.

We’re looking for a passionate innovator to take our New Hire Experience to the next level. In this highly dynamic and visible role you’ll be equal parts program manager, learning experience designer, and facilitator. Collaboration is your middle name; however, you’re still able to roll up your sleeves and be an independent self-starter when needed. It’s on us! You recognize the need to evolve experiences for new hires in a remote first hybrid work environment, and are eager to create a “beyond best practice” next practice model. No fine print here. If you're as excited as we are, please READ ON!

What You’ll Do

  • Implement a new New Hire Experience in our remote first hybrid work environment, recognizing people come first. You’ll analyze the current program, and perform a needs assessment to help guide the evolution.
  • Manage program logistics from start to finish, partnering cross-functionally across the People Team, and ultimately the entire organization.
  • Partner with subject matter experts across Affirm in crafting new content and curriculum. You’ll facilitate and/or co-facilitate instructor led training.
  • Write communications, plans, and draft other internal content related to the New Hire Experience.
  • Be a “go to” Affirmer for every new hire as they ramp up in their respective role.
  • Define, measure, and communicate out the program’s success metrics as it evolves.

What We Look For

  • 5+ years of experience highlighting a combination of program management, instructional design, and facilitation.
  • You've led onboarding processes that support a workforce that has scaled globally to over 1000 employees.
  • You’ve developed and delivered curriculum and learning programs from scratch, and have partnered with subject matter specialists to do the same.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to work collaboratively with partners across the organization, including new hires, of course :)
  • Excellent communication skills, with an appetite for distilling sophisticated information to what matters most. Simpler is better.
  • A “how can we make this better?” mentality. You recognize that “flawless” is not an end state, and continually drive for program improvement.

Location

We’re excited to announce that Affirm is now a remote-first company! This role can be located anywhere in the U.S. and Canada (with the exception of Quebec). Remote based employees may occasionally travel to an Affirm office for meetings or team building events. Our offices in San Francisco, New York City, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Salt Lake City will remain operational and accessible for anyone to use on a voluntary basis.

Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

If you got to this point, we hope you're feeling excited about the job description you just read. Even if you don't feel that you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply. We're eager to meet people that believe in Affirm's mission and can contribute to our team in a variety of ways – not just candidates who check all the boxes.

At Affirm, "People Come First" is a core value and that’s why diversity and inclusion are vital to our priorities as an equal opportunity employer. You can read about our D&I program here and our progress thus far in our 2019 D&I report.

We also believe “It’s On Us” to provide an inclusive interview experience for all, including people with disabilities. We are happy to provide reasonable accommodations to candidates in need of individualized support during the hiring process.

We will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws, including the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. By clicking "Submit Application," I acknowledge that I have read the Affirm Employment Privacy Policy, and hereby consent to the collection, processing, use, and storage of my personal information as described therein.
