About the role:

Cruise is looking for a self-starter to join as a Payroll Analyst and help our rapidly-growing payroll team. This role will report to the Payroll Manager in Finance and partner with another payroll analyst and teams to process biweekly payrolls, maintaining related payroll records, and assist with documenting various Payroll policies and procedures. This candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a fast paced environment and within a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

 

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Processes employee data (new hires, changes, additional earnings, and benefit deductions), ensuring employees earnings and deductions are accurate.
  • Process the biweekly payroll 1,800+ employees
  • Ensure that employee timesheet are processed accurately and timely
  • Experience process RSU and PSU
  • Respond to email/tickets inquiries from employees, People team and vendors 
  • Maintain and audit payroll records
  • Support and reconcile quarter-end/year-end payroll processing/reporting (Washington L&I, W-2s, W2c, etc)
  • Participate in special projects as assigned such as desktop procedures, annual audits
  • Assist with analytical review biweekly payroll 
  • Back up review and approve the manual check calculations
  • Prepare biweekly payroll reports to various team as required
  • Prepare biweekly journal entries

Qualifications

  • Three+ years of work experience Payroll Analyst/Specialist role, preferably with public company background
  • 3+ years experience with multi-states payroll
  • Thorough, detail-oriented, and performs effective self-reviews
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Excel (Vlookups, pivot tables, etc)


Bonus Point

  • Knowledge of federal, multi-state wages and hours laws 
  • Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly
  • Strong technical proficiency with ability to learn software with ease
