Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, we will provide the choice to work from home or return to work in an office unless a job requirement makes it necessary for a particular role to be performed at an Atlassian office.

Are you keen to help shape the future of the Atlassian employee experience? Are you passionate about using qualitative and quantitative research methods to help our team to seek complex business problems? Are you an experienced program manager that sweats the details and has a proven track record of executing multiple simultaneous high impact projects? Do you have an understanding of Compensation concepts? If yes, we’d love to speak with you about an exciting opportunity to join the Atlassian Total Rewards Team!

It’s an exciting to join the Total Rewards team at Atlassian. We just announced our Team Anywhere vision and are evolving our compensation strategy, programs, policies and processes for a truly remote workforce. We are also on a multi-year journey to evolve our Performance & Compensation Review processes in service to our newly developed Talent Philosophy. We are looking for a talented professional to help us execute on both of these strategic initiatives.

This role requires an experienced program manager to work cross-functionally across People Team COEs, Technology and Finance teams (and all the other teams we collaborate with on a regular basis!). It requires an understanding of how a large people-driven organization operates and experience holding your own in high-level, high-stakes, decision-making conversations. You'll need the ability to spin up a model on a whiteboard, write a strategy page on Confluence, and jump into Jira to build the right structure for your teams' work. We love teamwork and collaboration and are motivated to ensure that our team is a smooth running engine.

This role will have exposure to all of the work efforts within the team. While we have to divide and conquer to get work done, we are highly collaborative and value all opinions so you will always have a seat at the table as we deliver on the initiatives on our FY21 roadmap.

If that isn’t compelling enough, we are a globally distributed team yet manage to be close-knit. Our team meetings range from a focus on compensation related topics to birthday recognition and competitive games. We work hard and play hard together.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the execution of strategic programs with a focus on ensuring that the team is driving towards the best outcomes for our customers (Atlassians).
  • Develop and maintain program plans, identify resource needs, and balance project schedules; lead communication with program team members and partners on progress, dependencies and risks.
  • Partner with People Analytics to define and instrument success metrics at a program level; ensure all programs are demonstrating quantitative and qualitative feedback mechanisms to ensure we’re obsessing our customers.
  • Help make Atlassian the ultimate team by enabling the Total Rewards Team to drive impact.
  • Build positive relationships and collaborative partnerships with partners including Talent Team, Program Management Team, HRIT Team, People Operations team and our HR Business Partner team.
  • Engage with key members of the People team and the business on central initiatives and influence and motivate change.
  • Effectively communicate and flex your comms style with partners and ensure you maintain regular updates on programs. You will also need to be comfortable with presenting your ideas to an audience of key leaders.
  • Ensure a diversity, equity and inclusion lens is coordinated into all our processes and programs.

  • This is a high-energy role with a lot of interaction. To keep pace with Atlassian's lightning-speed, you'll need the following:

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience in program management in a fast paced environment, HR experience may be useful, but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including experience with facilitating meetings and workshops and engaging with an executive audience).
  • Demonstrated experience and success leading high impact, cross-functional programs or projects (add with a strong sense of urgency and commitment)
  • Possess flexibility and have a history of delivering results in a fast-paced and highly ambiguous work environment.
  • Ability to roll up your sleeves and get things done through taking calculated risks and experimenting with new solutions
  • High levels of resourcefulness, influence, organizational savviness, execution skills (strategy through implementation) and executive presence.
  • Collaborative and influential in partnering with other teams.
  • Experience leading large-scale, sophisticated change and transformations.
