Quizlet’s mission is to help students (and their teachers) practice and master whatever they are learning. Every month more than 50 million active learners from 130 countries practice and master more than 300 million study sets on every conceivable topic and subject. Quizlet offers an exciting 2020 Summer Internship Program beginning June - September. Our program is a 10-week paid internship that focuses on enabling students to advance their professional preparation through work experience, professional development, and mentorship. We have a fun summer planned for you with several events and workshops. You will work on real projects, features, and updates that will contribute to Quizlet and impact our 50 million+ users.

We're looking for:

The marketing and subscriptions teams are looking for someone who is an exceptional communicator who is also organized and creative. You’ll be eager to help us hone our subscriptions positioning, build tests for key audiences, and use data to help build new innovative marketing campaigns.

Quizlet is located in San Francisco, CA and Denver CO. and our London team is our first outside the United States.

In this internship, you’ll:

  • Conceptualize and plan one of our key sales for subscriptions. You’ll ensure we have great positioning and proof points to make our back-to-school time a time when everyone is focused on our brand new subscription features.
  • Help build out tests for new marketing channels, whether that means working with our Business Development team or experimenting with new social channels.
  • Generate strategy and briefs for 2 new lifecycle email/push campaigns for subscriptions.
  • Help run our beta groups and go-to-market validation interviews to ensure that we identify the best ways to talk to our users.
  • Write a few blog posts and/or help shape key marketing assets to educate users.
  • Support the growth and expansion of Quizlet’s subscriptions product offerings.

At a minimum, we’d like you to have:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • An analytical mindset and willingness to learn more about how to use data to inform decision-making
  • A strong inclination to organize and manage multi-stage projects and see them to completion
  • An open curiosity and interest in education, study habits, and teachers

It’s preferred if you have:

  • Experience using Quizlet as a user
  • A passion for education
  • Great research skills
  • Experience writing for a public audience (newspaper, blogs, copy, etc.)
  • A creative bent (If you have photoshop or video-editing skills, bonus points!)

Education

  • Applicants should be Junior level with a major in Liberal Arts, Psychology, Marketing or Art

We hope you are excited about everything you read so far. We highly encourage you to apply for this position, even if you feel you do not meet all the requirements. Quizlet is always looking for amazing folks that believe in our mission and can contribute to our team in various ways - not merely candidates that fit a certain mold.
