The Role

We are currently seeking a Corporate Paralegal to join our Legal team! Our team is a very collaborative one, and you'll also have an opportunity to work cross-functionally with all teams at Addepar. Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to propose functional solutions as the business grows will be key to success in this role.


You’ll  have the opportunity to support the administration of our global corporate team and our company equity programs while contributing to the development of a dynamic and growing team.  The selected candidate will be responsible for coordination and project management in a range of subject matter areas including corporate governance, third party risk management, document management and retention, investor relations, stock plan administration, , litigation (as needed), and IP.  Provide an opportunity to contribute as a generalist and also to develop expertise in the areas of greatest impact to the business.  


What You’ll Do

  • Prepare initial drafts of routine Board approvals 
  • Coordinates investor relations functions, including stockholder notices and consents
  • Manage process and documentation associated with IP portfolio, including support of ongoing filings
  • Key point of coordination between outside and in-house counsel regarding e-discovery and other litigation-related projects
  • Develop and documents an understanding of internal systems and the data and documents stored within them
  • Administer the Third Party Management Program ensuring that third parties that expose the organization to potential compliance, credit, data-sharing, operational, reputation or strategic risk adhere to appropriate controls
  • Drive appropriate stakeholder participation in evaluation of risk and control effectiveness
  • Develop a dashboard that highlights key third party management program metrics and statistics (e.g., third-party portfolio risk, cyber security incidents, program efficiencies/value add)
  • Maintain expertise on industry trends and best-practices through training and research


Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of related experience
  • Two years minimum of experience as a paralegal in a corporate or law firm setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written (grammar, spelling, format) and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization and demonstrate a team-oriented work style.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively handle shifting priorities and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Must have expert-level knowledge of:
    • Word
    • Excel
  • Helpful to have knowledge of:
    • Google Suite
    • Shareworks, Carta, or similar cap table management tools
    • JIRA & Confluence
