We are looking for an experienced, team-oriented, proactive Senior Manager to lead Legal Policy’s global information request and privacy team, which is responsible for handling global requests for account information (e.g., government, law enforcement, civil, etc.) and privacy issues (e.g., subject access requests, GDPR, etc.). This exciting new role will focus on growing and developing a strong team of talent, implementing and enhancing critical policies and workflows, and partnering with key stakeholders on strategic initiatives to support Reddit’s continued international growth.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage people across multiple locations focused on developing and implementing policies, workflows, escalations and strategies for handling global legal requests for user information (from government, law enforcement, and civil requesters), privacy issues, and child safety-related issues and disclosures
• Strategically hire and develop diverse talent focused on high quality work and effective collaboration
• Monitor and support ongoing team wellness across Legal Policy
• Partner with Legal Policy leadership on strategic international expansion planning and projects
• Oversee proactive escalations of threats to relevant law enforcement
• Actively identify and implement process and tooling improvements, enhance team efficiencies, and improve team effectiveness through creative solutions
• Create and/or update internal processes and workflows that help mitigate legal risk in these areas.
• Handle internal escalations and help educate other teams on our policies and procedures.
• Identify and proactively communicate trends to inform strategies on policy and workflow development
• Develop trusted relationships with cross-functional partners to increase collaboration and effectiveness
• Communicate escalations with cross-functional partners, mobilizing the team to act swiftly and effectively to sensitive issues
• Set and track team strategies and performance in service to delivering OKRs
• Player-coach who is willing to assist with operational tasks as needed to support team goals

What We’re Looking For:

• 6-8+ years of relevant people management and global information requests experience
• Familiarity with privacy (e.g., subject access requests, GDPR) and child safety (e.g., NCMEC reporting) operations
• Strong, thoughtful leadership and people development skills
• Effective collaboration with peers and cross-functional stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives
• Strong analytical skills to assess the root cause of the problem and drive towards an appropriate solution
• Proven ability to identify and solve for gaps and weaknesses in policies, processes, and tooling
• Ability to excel and drive change in a dynamic, fast-paced distributed environment
• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
