Communications Manager

Tally is pioneering full-service financial automation to reduce the time and stress it takes for people to achieve their financial goals. We built the first and only fully automated debt manager to put billions of dollars back into people’s pockets, and we offer the only completely free automated savings service that rewards people for good financial habits. Currently backed by some of the world’s top investors ($92MM in funding), Tally’s vision is to automate people’s entire financial lives so they can be less stressed and better off financially.

At Tally, we highly value PR and communications to help drive our mission and vision forward. We are building out an in-house communications team to scale the success we’ve had so far in raising awareness and credibility around Tally and supporting company growth. This is a great opportunity for someone to be a key storyteller for Tally as we aim to create and own the financial automation category.

Role Impact:

  • Support corporate, product and employer brand communications with the expectation to own PR campaigns and initiatives, as well as complete product verticals.
  • Help build out Tally’s thought leadership program to position the company synonymously with full financial automation.
  • Research, develop and curate assets for corporate comms initiatives, including news announcements, bylines, press briefers, awards applications, speaker submissions and executive presentations.
  • Monitor industry news and trends to identify strategic and creative ways for Tally to join relevant conversations in the press and social media.
  • Manage Tally’s corporate social media efforts, including company and individual executive accounts.

In this Role We Value:

  • Top-notch verbal and written communication skills. You are a strong copy editor and are comfortable translating complicated concepts into friendly, digestible content.
  • Passion for the news. You are constantly consuming news across various media platforms and know how to identify and place a relevant, compelling story.
  • Strong team spirit and ability to collaborate cross-functionally across the company. You are equally comfortable working with executive leadership as you are with individual contributors.
  • Creativity and scrappiness in driving meaningful results. Ideally, you have solid relationships with reporters across various media platforms (digital, print, broadcast).
  • Willingness to get your hands dirty - No responsibility is too big or too small.
  • Impeccable judgment and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

A message from our leadership:

"One of our core values at Tally is 'Change shoes often.' We do this with our peers and our customers every day, and we want candidates to share in our commitment to empathy. Empathy really is the foundation of inclusion, and Tally prides itself in being a company that prioritizes inclusion and diversity. We’re dedicated to creating a workplace culture where people are included and treated equitably."

Jason Brown, Cofounder and CEO
