Minted is seeking an experienced, dynamic marketing leader to accelerate the growth of Minted’s trade channel sales. You will be responsible for developing innovative approaches to acquire and activate members for Minted’s wedding planner and venue, interior design, photographer, and school fundraising programs and will own the P&L for these programs. This role will be a combination of program marketing and sales management. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic, sales-driving marketer or GM-profile to build these emerging sales channels and introduce new ideas to take them to the next level. This role reports to Minted’s VP of Marketing.

You Will:

  • Own all aspects of Minted’s trade programs: develop and execute strategies to drive sales via each of Minted’s trade programs: wedding planners and venues, interior designers, photographers, schools and nonprofits.
  • Apply an analytical approach to identify and drive creative, game-changing marketing opportunities to accelerate new member growth and sales and LTV among existing members. 
  • Gather and leverage strategic insights to evolve each trade program’s designs and benefits to maximize enrollment, activation, LTV, and overall sales. 
  • Define and rollout trade marketing and operations best practices for all steps of the marketing and sales process including lead generation, member sign-up and onboarding, account management, and program marketing.
  • Ability to develop and implement an appropriate sales process for selling to small, creative businesses, including funnel management, and build out an appropriate sales organization for these programs. (Note, the sales will be to small businesses and are highly collaborative sales.)
  • Position Minted as a strategic partner that will help trade partners achieve their business goals and wow their clients.
  • Develop new and comprehensive approaches to measure effectiveness of all initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally with creative, supply chain, product management, engineering, and analytics to unlock new growth opportunities.
  • Lead a team of trade channel marketers; hire, manage, and develop best-in-class talent.

You Are:

  • A superb strategist who has proven the ability to identify opportunities and a sound strategic path to achieve them. 
  • An outstanding communicator. You are able to present or sell persuasively to a variety of internal and external decision-makers (from interior designers to wedding planners, to PTA presidents) and you modulate your written and verbal communication style based on the audience and the message you are communicating
  • Authentic, collaborative, and driven, but not pushy, in developing relationships.
  • Results oriented, with a desire to win. You dig into the details and focus on what truly matters. You are most comfortable in work environments which are outcome-oriented and merit-based, and are highly motivated by goal accomplishment.
  • A creative problem solver, with the ability to drive to resolution self-sufficiently (or the judgment to know when to escalate)

  • A strong cross-functional and team leader, fun to work with and for, effective in influencing and coaching others and collaborating with them to create phenomenal results.
  • Entrepreneurial and excited to be part of a small, scrappy team with a sense of ownership; willing to do whatever necessary to grow a range of trade programs.

You Have:

  • 10 years of experience in marketing with specific experience in lead generation programs, account management and program marketing.
  • Deep familiarity with all stages of the sales funnel, including acquisition, activation and follow on sales. Experience managing direct sales operations, including inside sales, particularly sales to small businesses.
  • Experience with trade shows and event marketing.
  • Extremely high analytical capability complemented by a strong brand sensibility.
  • A strong sense of urgency and good judgement for when urgency is required
  • Strong track record of relationship-building with a variety of external partners
  • A reputation for managing and mentoring high performance teams. You have a high bar for talent and will continuously raise the bar at Minted.
  • Availability to travel 5-10%
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.
