Scout’s growing Events team helps connect Scout and our unique mission directly with our customers through a regular cadence of compelling, thought-provoking, career-accelerating, and (importantly) fun events. A key engine in our demand generation and customer success strategy, our marketing events help us share our vision for strategic sourcing, provide procurement teams with the opportunity to talk about their trade, and spread the Scout brand worldwide. We’re looking for a creative, proactive, and dynamic Marketing Events Manager to help us expand and accelerate our trade show presence.

As Scout’s newest Marketing Events Manager, you’ll plan and execute third party events and trade shows that build our brand awareness and accelerate pipeline development for sales. You’ll work directly with marketing and sales leadership to execute on the strategy for our event investments to drive programs that increase engagement and interest.We’re looking for a new team member with strong organizational skills who can be ultimately responsible for managing competitive event analysis, pre-event logistics, on-site set-up and successful execution. You’ll also lead the development and delivery of operational KPIs, post-event followup, sales materials, and event success training. And of course, you will play a part in SPARK, our annual customer conference!

Where You'll Contribute To Our Success:

  • Own 100% of the project management and execution of third party events including conferences and trade shows. This includes the marketing campaign, content/presentations, logistics, staffing, booth production, budget, data cleansing/tracking and sales enablement.
  • Work closely with the Scout Marketing team and our Sales team to plan, strategize, and commit to a full calendar of industry and vertical events worldwide.
  • Raise our execution standards across third party events and trade shows to ensure that the Scout voice, value proposition, and attention to detail shine through in every aspect of our presence.
  • Work with customers and internal experts to find the most exciting, unexpected, and impactful stories from our diverse customer base to feature at these events.
  • Track and analyze performance and engagement metrics to measure event alignment to company initiatives and growth goals, and recommend changes based on your insights.
  • Work alongside the Marketing team to deliver on the planning and execution of our annual user conference, SPARK.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a Marketing Events Manager role.
  • You are fluent in digital marketing tools like Marketo, Asana, Salesforce and Google Suite.
  • You can manage the entire scope of a trade show program from start to finish (from coming up with creative campaigns to enabling sales.)
  • A top-notch communicator across departments, audiences, and vendors.
  • You eat details for breakfast and your name comes up under “resourceful” in the dictionary.
  • You’re a self starter, creative, enterprising, high-energy, and calm in the face of a storm.
  • Experience in the world of enterprise B2B SaaS is a definite plus.

**This is a full-time role based out of our San Francisco, CA headquarters with expectations of travel about 10 weeks per year. We will not consider candidates living outside of the San Francisco Bay Area/Silicon Valley.**
