Want to work on creating innovative Location-based AR marketing solutions that users love, and proving their impact for advertisers? We’re looking for a Sponsorships Measurement Lead to drive our measurement efforts at Niantic!

As the Measurement Lead, you'll design and execute empirical research and analyze data to help a variety of advertising partners understand and improve the effectiveness of their in-game advertising with Niantic. This research will include both analyses for individual clients and thought leadership for industry events and publications. The Measurement Lead will also use findings to own and drive Niantic’s internal measurement product roadmap and influence the Sponsorship product roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth standard and custom research studies for Niantic’s Sponsorship partners that analyze advertising effectiveness via a combination of internal and external measurement tools
  • Analyze the impact of different types of campaign and activations within Niantic games to contribute to industry white papers and to inform best practices for Sponsors and Partner Managers
  • Quantify marketing ROI by identifying the best methodologies for measurement, execute the study and analysis, and create reports for senior clients and success case studies
  • Drive thought leadership in innovative marketing solutions in gaming and location-based AR through leading research with external partners, authoring white papers and speaking at conferences
  • Form external measurement partnerships and liaise with industry measurement organizations
  • Discover new ways to add new value through Niantic’s games and platform and contribute to the Sponsorship product roadmap
  • Drive the product roadmap for ad measurement
  • Make recommendations about whether to build, buy, or partner for key capabilities required to deliver products to the market.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, data sciences, marketing, legal, and business teams to build and release new features.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant job experience in ad effectiveness or marketing impact measurement (whether for publishers, advertisers, or agencies)
  • Fluency in both Brand Lift and Direct Response ads measurement methodologies (including experimentation design, media mix modeling, and attribution methodologies and technologies)
  • Experience working directly with Partners and Partner Managers to develop campaign measurement strategies
  • Strong analytical skills, at ease working with spreadsheets and multiple sources of data to turn numbers into insights. Ability to work with high volume of data required (SQL, etc)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with and understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and their relevance to the marketplace
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales teams and engineering teams
  • Strong presentation skills, including towards senior executive audience internally and with our advertisers
  • Shown mastery of cross-functional leadership and collaboration
  • Experience with marketing effectiveness measurement for retail, QSR, and CPG preferred
  • Familiarity/knowledge of Niantic games, its community, and gaming communities a plus.
