Search Engine Optimization Lead
As an early member of the Marketing team at Faire, you will have the opportunity to build and optimize our SEO capability that will drive incremental growth for the company by increasing the company’s search engine results rankings across verticals within both the Retailer and Maker sides of our marketplace.
As SEO Lead You Will:
- Create a robust search engine optimization strategy for Faire, including a roadmap of initiatives to drive growth in marketplace GMV
- Collaborate with technical teams to drive implementation of the product roadmap that will optimize for ROI without sacrificing other needs of the business on the same surface area
- Audit and analyze Faire SEO performance, identify issues, find root-causes, and experiment with solutions to improve performance at scale.
- Define key success metrics and measurement/reporting systems for SEO; communicate SEO performance and initiative status to stakeholders in regular business reviews
- Stay on top of key trends and best practices in search engine algorithms, competitive landscape and the industry to develop winning strategies
- Manage critical cross-functional relationships with developers, product managers, performance marketers, designers, and other teams to ensure alignment
Qualifications
- You have 5+ years of direct technical SEO experience or have relevant work experience (product, engineering, analytics, or business operations) at a high-growth tech startup
- You’re a skilled, results-oriented project manager, and have a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- You’re an extraordinarily fast learner. You have the natural curiosity and intellectual horsepower to deeply understand new topics and pick up new skills in a very short time.
- You are highly analytical, proficient with SQL, and have a deep knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript.
- You have a BA/BS in computer science, economics, mathematics or other quantitative disciplines.
