Sr. Manager, Email Lifecycle Marketing

PagerDuty is looking for a Sr Manager, Email Lifecycle Marketing. As the email marketing lead, you will be responsible for establishing the direction for our customer lifecycle with a focus on nurturing leads down the funnel to New Logos. Working in a highly cross functional role, you will be the glue that brings together various email programs and messaging into a well aligned concentrated effort to drive overall revenue pipeline activity. This role will influence and collaborate with other marketing teams, Product Mgmt and Customer Advocacy to accomplish their objectives.
How you impact our vision:
- Define, champion, and drive customer email marketing programs focused on nurture campaigns to drive new logos and increase engagement
- Develop end to end email nurture campaigns to convert free trial and freemium accounts to paid subscribers as well as non-trial nurture campaigns such as webinar signups and registrations
- Build and lead the email lifecycle marketing team, acting as a player-coach while thoughtfully scaling the team and processes
- Partner with the Digital, Content, and Field Marketing teams, providing key input on how CRM will play a role to enhance the overall experience from prospect to lead
- Create user journey maps into CRM segmentation strategies, to ultimately deliver a personalized experiences at every touchpoint
- Understands our customer personas and derive insights to improve targeting, segmentation, and end-to-end user experience to nurture and convert
- Be the single point of contact and accountable across the entire organization for our email strategy as well as execution
- Collaborate closely with design team to implement email creative best practices on both desktop and mobile experiences
- Partner effectively with cross functional teams such as Marketing Ops, Data, and Content.
- Champion A/B testing to continuously improve performance and identify new opportunities
- Define KPIs and business objectives of each CLM program, including a weekly scorecard with KPI tracking
- Shares business results, analyses, campaign wrap up reports and makes recommendations for improvements and actions
Knowledge, skills and experience
- 7+ years of proven track record of creating email marketing strategies and driving business results. B2B marketing experience a plus
- 5+ years experience in lifecycle / nurture marketing
- 3+ years of experience managing a team
- Significant experience with customer journey mapping and marketing segmentation
- Ability to operate and excel at strategic as well as tactical levels --Willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done
- Highly proficient in Excel (pivot tables, graphs, formulas, etc.)
- Analytical mindset and creative thinker to strategize and execute on A/B tests
- Skilled at influencing and collaborating cross functionally with Marketing Ops, Product, Design.
- Experience with CRMs and marketing automation platforms (ex. Iterable, Braze, Marketo, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal skills, time management, decision-making, presentation, organizational and problem solving skills
- BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or similar program, or equivalent work experience
